Global Technology Audit Guide (GTAG) 17: Auditing IT Governance provides internal auditors, in both thepublic and private sectors, withthe knowledge necessary to fulfill theirresponsibilities in providingassurance and consulting services for ITgovernance. The guidance coversaspects of governance that should be in place toensure IT supports theorganization’s strategies and objectives, and discussesred flags to lookfor that might signal this is not the case.

• Gain an understanding of what IT Governance is
• Learn why IT Governance is important from both a compliance and strategic standpoint
• Examine the IIA IT Governance model
